The book will be for sale for a discount price of N$ 80 and Helvi will be available to sign copies. |

Helvi Itenge is a Namibian who moved to the United States in 2001 to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology at the Wilberforce University in Ohio. She also did a Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Illinois, specialising in E-learning. Helvi is married and a mother of two young children.
While living in the States, Helvi found it challenging to educate her children in her mother tongue Oshiwamvo, because she could not find any children’s books written in her own language.
Determined to teach her children Oshiwambo, she began to write her own babies’ and toddler’s books.
Helvi has since published her books in the Yambeka Children Media series and they are available on Amazon.com.(www.yambekachildren.com)

Dear Parents encourage your child/children to create a story from their head (if the children can not write, write the stories for them) but encourage them to create their own illustrations for their stories. Once the story is completed, you can email it to us at: info@yambekachildren.com, and we'll post them here.
None of these stories will be published. We created this activity to encourage creativity in children. Please do not copy or reuse any of this work without the parents permission.
